Obituary for Dorothy Walker

Dorothy Walker
Dorothy “Dottie” Lee Walker, was a lifelong resident of Havre de Grace. Dottie was a family-oriented woman who shared a home with her parents, Eva and James L. “Jinx”, and her brother James A. “Sonny” until their deaths. Dottie was close to many. She was especially close to her friend of more than 60 years, Evelyn “Evie” Brendle, and her children and grandchildren. Dottie is survived by two cousins and numerous second and third cousins.
Dottie had a long career at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Her hobbies included golf, bowling, bicycling, pinochle, reading, travelling to Atlantic City and people-watching. She was kind and friendly, an all-around good sport. She enjoyed a good laugh and had a quick wit.
Recently, Dottie was fortunate to have caregivers who very quickly became friends. She was special and will be missed more than words can express.
Visitation will be held at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace on Saturday, June 16 from 10 am to noon, followed by a brief service. Interment will be at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Rd., Aberdeen. Online condolence may be made at www.zellmanfuneralhome.com.
